Training / Torture Camp 2010
@

So the fun starts here - meet Spuff the Magic Dragon (apparently you had to be there)

The deluxe accommodation experienced by some attendees - the second bed is hidden underneath the bags and sporting apparel.  They had it good in the Palace on the Hill
Err boats on a trailer!  Re-rigging of the boats to get going - we were excellent at it by the end of the weekend!
Spuff gets familiar with the erg machines with one of the best views!! Day 1 was spent familiarising ourselves with the tide - it went out quite a long way (...past what we expected... note to selves take better notice of the morning briefing)
The launch - by the end of the weekend we still hadn't really mastered the dark art of putting it back on the trailer after the outings  Thankfully this was never needed
Rowing with views like wasn't so bad  Flic in action - she followed us everywhere despite being in the slowest launch ever
The metropolis of Totnes - where Bistro's shut at lunchtime, you can only get cream teas and lattes (ask Dave and Lesley), and there's a shop that sells lovely pink tops (Dave) - or is that Coral, Dusty Rose, Faded Red .......  This photo has been included just on the basis that its not raining
Shares in electrical tape and other sticky stuff went up during the course of this weekend due to unprecedented sales figures - who knows why  Sometimes it hurts when you try hard - a little bit of Katy B was left in Totnes
Top athletes need to ensure that they are properly hydrated .....  ... and a healthy diet as ably demonstrated by captain Jenny (spot the Pringles tube)
Packing up in record time .... is Ciara wiping away a tear?
(ok I realise that MT and Katie C weren't there on the last day but its poetic licence)
Views on the way home weren't bad either!!
