Training (updated 15 Apr)

This is a new addition to the website and will be your first port of call whenever you have completed some training.  This is where you will come from now on to get all of your training information.  Below you will find a link to the training log which Jenny and Jo will use to monitor progress and select crews etc. If you haven't received an 'invitation' to view the document by the end of September, please let Sue Grobler know

Over the next few weeks you should check back here at regular intervals as Jo and Jenny will be adding their words of wisdom that will help you with your weights, ergs etc.

Training Plan

If you are anything like me you can never find that email with the latest training plan on it, so here it is for the next 3 weeks

Training Logs

Winter Log: September 2009 - w/e 11 April 2010 - For reference only : out of date

Spring Log: w/c 12 April - Current Log

By religiously following this schedule you will become fitter, leaner and be able to wow guests at parties with a spectacular gun show

Please Note!!!!
Email from Neil  - Boat house captain (oooooooooooooooo)

Ladies and Gents,

You will notice that the equipment in The Shed has been rearranged. This has been done partly to make it more convenient and safer to use the weight training equipment and partly to accommodate two additional ergs and a bench pull that we intend to acquire in the near future. Please direct any comments or suggestions about the new layout to me please.

I also spent a considerable amount of time cleaning as it was all in a frankly disgusting state. Please try to keep The Shed clean and tidy from now on - there are cleaning facilities in the corner so don't be afraid to use them occasionally.

A quick reminder of Shed etiquette.

- Please always clean the erg slides after use. Paper towel is provided for this very purpose so no excuses.
- Please leave the weight bars for the next person with little or no weight on.
- Please don't leave weights lying around on the floor.
- Gents, no bare chests please.
- Please make sure that the lights, stereo and fans are off and that all the doors and windows are shut when you lock up.
- Plastic bottles in the yellow bin, other rubbish in the blue bin please.

As of the beginning of September, erg priority nights are as follows -

Monday: BBLRC
Tuesday: Cygnet
Wednesday: Anyone (circuits)
Thursday: Novices
Friday: Anyone

The rule of thumb is that if you are on an erg and it isn’t your night, you can only stay on if you have less than 10 minutes or 2000m left to go, otherwise off you hop in a gracious manner!

Cheers
