Membership Options
We offer a range of membership tiers to suit your stage in the sport and your level of commitment:
Full Rowing Membership
Access to all training (on and off the water), coaching, facilities, and club events.

Includes: Race entry support, group coaching, use of boats and ergos

Under-30s Membership
We know it’s not always easy balancing rent, travel, and life in London — so we’ve made it easier to keep rowing.
If you’re under 30, you qualify for a significantly discounted membership – because we believe young women shouldn’t have to choose between paying bills and staying in the sport they love.
Ideal for: Early-career rowers, students, and anyone aged 18–29
Annual fee: £360 (discounted rate) + £60 CSSC Linked Membership
Get Fit & Row Membership
Short-term course-based membership for beginners taking part in a Learn to Row programme. Includes coached water sessions, use of equipment, and club integration.
Course fee: £250 (covers entire programme duration)
Coxing Membership
No rowing experience needed! Coxes play a vital role in our club and we offer a free or reduced-cost membership in recognition of their commitment.
Includes: Coxing coaching, water time, race opportunities, and full club access.
Alumni Membership
Alumni membership is available to all previous members by discretionary donation. Experienced Alumni members have the option to ‘Pay As You Row’ in self managed non coached water sessions. Boat availability is at the discretion of the Captain.
Fee: Discretionary donation or ‘Pay As You Row’ £15/session
Prices are per year, running from September to August. If you pay by direct debit, you can split the subs into six equal instalments payable from September to February.
British Rowing membership ROW or RACE is required, with the exception of Get fit & row
Please note, you can leave our club at any time without giving notice and without any financial penalty, other than that no refunds are given on unused portions of your membership.
Civil Service Sports Council
We were previously known at the Civil Service Ladies Club, and our boathouse is supported by the CSSC Sports and Leisure. To be a member at BBLRC you need to sign up to the CSSC which is easy to arrange. If you don’t sign up to the CSSC you pay an additional £60 in subs.
Flexible & Supportive
We offer flexible payment options and are always happy to speak with potential members about financial accessibility. If cost is a barrier, please reach out — we’ll do our best to help.
