Pairs Head 2025 – SATURDAY 4 October at 14:30
**Update Friday 3rd October 09:30**
RACE CANCELLED
Unfortunately, weather forecasts are unanimous in predicting gale-force gusts tomorrow afternoon, making conditions unsafe to marshal or to race. With little chance of conditions improving, the committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the event.
We would like to thank everyone for their understanding, and especially thank the many volunteers who generously offered their time.
All clubs will be contacted regarding partial refunds once our costs have been finalised. We kindly ask for your patience while this process is completed.
We hope to welcome you back next year.
Please contact us if you have any questions.

Future race orders
Each year we’ll rotate the starting order of the categories. This way no one is always first or always last, and over time every group will have the chance to lead the race. We’ll also switch the order between men and women so the earlier start, with less time marshalling is shared around. If your category happens to be scheduled last in a given year, it’s completely up to you whether you decide to enter.
2026 — WM: Masters -> Open -> Mixed -> Juniors
2027 — MW: Juniors -> Open -> Mixed -> Masters
2028 — WM: Open -> Mixed -> Masters -> Juniors
2029 — MW: Masters -> Juniors-> Open -> Mixed
2030 — WM: Juniors -> Masters -> Open -> Mixed
