The Happy Monday’s will be having a squad get together, with dinner at the boat house on Monday 30th March, just after the Vet’s Head. Pre-dinner ergs are optional! Save the date.

Plenty of good things to look back on over the season: we’ve welcomed 2 new squad babies (Dylan and Lily), raced Barnes and Mortlake International Regatta in a quad and a double, and spent a Happy afternoon at Henley. Over the summer we all got out in small boats and many have learned to steer and scull – some who thought they never would! We rounded off the summer with an intrepid row to Westminster, thanks to J coxing and Dave in the launch.
……….and plenty of good things to look forward to! Lynne is back in the coaching seat, with a new training plan to get us fit, we have 2 doubles racing in Pairs Head, 2 quads racing in the Rhine Marathon, 2 Weddings, and further off we’ll be at the Voga Longa 2015 in Venice in May. And that’s not to mention 4’s Head, Scullers Head and Vet’s Head, and more both home and away!

Happy Mondays had a great Head Season this year, thanks to all at BBLRC for their support getting us out on the water with launches, coaches and coxes when we needed it. We raced Vets Fours, Quintin, and Vets Heads, and enjoyed a sunny BBQ watching our lovely BBL Women’s Head crews race past. Special thanks to J, our Top Cox through thick and thin, and to Lynne who coached large in every sense of the word!
We are now into Regatta training. lining up an eight, a quad and a double for Barnes & Mortlake International Regatta.
We’ve picked up some very welcome new members, one of whom has bravely jumped into stroke seat for the Regatta crew after the briefest of introductions! Our very newest has all the kit but may not be ready to stroke a boat for a while…. Welcome to Dylan Woolley, and congratulations to Lynne and Justin!

Double Trouble at the top!! Our very own Happy Mondays Sharon and Kate were awarded the Ali Elliott cup for Best Crew 2013 at the BBL Christmas Party last Saturday. Well done girls, and thanks to Lynne for her expert coaching. We christened the cup on Monday at the club after our outing in true HM style with a bottle of bubbly (won in the raffle – perfect).
