The moment had come to row at the pinnacle of women’s amateur rowing, Henley Women’s Regatta.

We knew it going to be more about the experience than the medals, entering the Intermediate C8 category. In the first heat the crew gave Twickenham a good race, finishing 1 1/3 length down. The heat was the second fastest, which was a real boost for the crew and a real achievement. The were some Henley firsts and some Henley fears overcome. I hope the experience has been a good one. It has been a pleasure to be part of it.

It was a great day, it was warm and the sun shone (unlike the following days). Thanks to Clare for capturing some great moments.
